Harry Thielen, 73, has served two terms (7.5 years) as a township supervisor. A Paynesville native, he retired to Lake Koronis 13 years ago.

Why are you running for township office? I have been a township supervisor for the past 7.5 years. I enjoy meeting people and working with them on issues pertaining to the township.

What accomplishments on the board would you list as reasons for re-election? I have endorsed environment issues with new ideas. I have worked in a favorable manner with the existing township board.

How should taxes and services be balanced in Paynesville Township? Maintain the tax levy. Keep services within our budget, such as snow removal and police and fire protection.

What is your long-range vision for Paynesville Township? What do you expect to accomplish towards this vision in the next four years? Maintain the vision of an enjoyable community for all residents. To listen to residents on what their vision and concerns are.
