The Paynesville Bulldogs lost to the Albany Huskies, 56-16, in Paynesville's third conference game of the season. Albany, Class AAA's top-ranked team, had a 43-0 lead by halftime, and took the win despite the Bulldog's efforts. Noah Bruntlett scored Paynesville's only touchdown.

Jeff Voss set a school record for Paynesville with a 97-yard kickoff return touchdown and 153 yards in kickoff returns. David Hemmesch and Tony Hoffman also helped Paynesville's side.

Hemmesch, who for the last two games is now 14-29 for 236 yards passing, had 11 attempted passes in Friday's game against Albany. Hemmesch completed six passes during the game and passed 138 yards.

Hoffman, who has caught five passes for 124 yards in the last two games, had three receptions against Albany, and 107 yards.

Unfortunately, despite Paynesville's attempts, they couldn't get a lead over the Huskies. In the first possession for the Bulldogs, they snapped the ball over the punter's head, turning the ball over to Albany, who scored.

Paynesville took the kickoff and drove down to the Albany 25-yard line before throwing an interception to end the drive.
