In the first quarter, the Bulldogs defense held Litchfield scoreless. The Dragon defense also held Paynesville scoreless.
Going scoreless into the second quarter, Litchfield turned it up and scored three touchdowns against Paynesville. Paynesville managed to score one touchdown, with Jeff Voss’ three-yard run into the end zone, leaving the score at 20-6 at half time.
The second half of the game was a little different. Paynesville couldn’t manage to move the ball against the Dragons defense. Litchfield scored 28 more points in the second half, stunning the Bulldogs and leaving with the score of 48-6.

Next week Paynesville will travel to Melrose on Friday, Sept. 18, to take on the Dutchmen at 7:30 p.m.
