Niether the girls or boys teams from Paynesville qualified for the Section tournament, but there were some valient efforts in individuals. Lynn Stoneburner shot a 96, Mackenzie Merrill, a 120, and Rachel Larson shot a 124 at the Section 5A meet.

Representing Paynesville at the boys individuals was Jeff Meyer. He shot a respectable 81, but missed state by two, right under Albany's Scott Welle.
