PHS baseball team has 2-1 week

The Bulldogs defeated the ACGC Falcons 10-9, last Tuesday, winning their fourth consecutive game.

Chris Soine started pitching for the Bulldogs. After giving up five runs in two innings, though, he was relieved by Jeremy Glenz and Jason Schlecht. Glenz earned the win for Paynesville.

Schlecht led the Bulldogs in hitting, going 3-4 with 2 RBIs, and 3 runs scored. Jeremy Reiter also went 2-4 with 3 RBIs.

Paynesville vs. Sauk Centre
The Bulldogs won their first game of a double header last Friday. In the first game they defeated Sauk Centre 4-0.

Jason Schlecht pitched the game for the Bulldogs shutting down the Main Streeters and holding them to just three hits.

Albany vs. Paynesville
The Bulldogs lost their second game of their double header to Albany, 6-3, last Friday night in Paynesville.

This was the first game played under the lights at Paynesville Area High School.

Mike Stalboerger pitched for the Bulldogs allowing six runs on four hits, while striking out 12, and walking six.

The game made the Bulldogs 10-4, and 4-4 in the conference.
