The meet started out good with the boys 4 x 800-meter relay team smashing the school record set at the previous meet. Each runner ran an awesome race. Last meet’s time was 8:55.4 and the new record time set on Saturday was 8:47.8.
Another highlight of the meet was the 1600-meter run. Freshman Clayton Lang ran a great race and took first place with a time of 5:06.6.
Eighth grade superstar, Eric “Speedy” Rausch, stepped up the pace at this meet in the 400-meter dash. He ran a personal best of 57.07 and took third place. Keep up the good work!
Another magic moment at the meet was the 4 x 400-meter relay. They really took it to their opponents, in the process of winning they also broke a 19-year-old school record. The time of their race was 3:43.3.
Josh Jones broke the third school record of the day by out jumping his old triple jump record. He improved his record by 3.25 inches. The new record now stands at 40’1”.
There were no team scores kept at this meet. However, the Bulldogs came out of the meet with four victories, three school records, and a lot of pride.
