Boys win first playoff game, fall in second

The Bulldogs faced off with the Litchfield Dragons for the third time this season to play the first round of District 20 action last Tuesday night; this time however, it was the Bulldogs who won, 59-52.

Josh Williams led the Bulldogs with 20 points and Mike Stalboerger scored 15.

In the two previous meetings the Dragons won, but each game stayed close throughout. The Bulldogs took their revenge when they beat Litchfield in the playoffs.

Paynesville suffered their last loss of the season to the New London-Spicer Wildcats in a fairly close game in the second round of the District 20 action in Annandale last Saturday, 47-41.

Bowden and Stalboerger led the Bulldogs in scoring with 11 and nine points, respectively.

The Bulldogs played a good game overall. They end the season with a 6-16 record.
