The Stars won their only game last week, nipping Morris 5-4 on Tuesday, Dec. 19.

In the first period, Morris came out with a two-goal lead six minutes into the game. It wasn't until 9:05 that the Stars' Derek Dahlen put River Lakes on the board.

The second period started out the same way, with Morris scoring first, but this time the Stars responded with three goals to take the lead. Dahlen scored again, followed by Mike Anderson and Brett Theisen, putting the Stars up 4-3.

The third period was crunch time for the Stars. Morris put another one in midway through the period to tie the score.

With the score tied, each team tried much harder to score.

With two minutes left in the game, Brett Theisen scored the game winning goal for the Stars.

Theisen had two goals and two assists to lead the Stars offensively. Dahlen had two goals as well. Defenseman Dave Schramel added two assists.
