The Stars lost a close road game to Mora 2-1 on Tuesday, Dec. 12.

This was the second game this season that the Stars lost by only one goal. It's also the second game that senior Brett Theisen scored the only goal for the Stars.

The two teams played vigorously throughout the game, but it wasn't until the second period that Mora managed to put one in on a power play.

That was all the scoreboard read for the second period. Mora then scored another goal early in the third period to take a two-goal lead. The Stars answered with a goal by Theisen, but couldn't come up with a game-tying score.

The game ended with the score: Mora 2; Stars, 1.

Mora outshot the Stars 48 to 14. Freshman goalie Blake Theisen made 46 saves for River Lakes.

The Stars' game against Marschall on Saturday was cancelled due to the Minnesota weather.

The Stars took on Morris yesterday. They will play next week in a tourneyt in Little Falls. Their first game is on Thursday, Dec. 28, when they play Sartell at 11 a.m.
