Eastview
The Stars played Eastview on Saturday, Dec. 6. This is also Eastview's first year as a team. The Stars had a hard loss the day before so they wanted to come back and win this game.
The action started at the end of the first period. Eastview got their first penalty called for cross checking. Shortly after that, they scored their first goal. At the end of the period, the Stars had 11 shots on goal and Eastview had eight.
The second period was more exciting. To get back in the game, Turkowski scored and it was assisted by Melissa Jungles (Rocori). Ten seconds after Turkowski scored, Eastview made a goal past goalie, Vogt. The score at the end of the second period was Stars 1 and Eastview 2. The Stars ended up with six shots on goal and Eastview had three.
To start the third period, a penalty was called on Eastview for too many skaters were on the ice. Probably the best play of the game was when Turkowski scored her second goal to even up the game. Her goal was assisted by Courtney Karsch.
With about a minute left in the game, the Stars were playing more aggressive and getting more shots on goal but none went in. The final score for the third period was 2-2. Therefore, an eight minute overtime was scheduled.
In the overtime, no goals were scored and no penalties were called. The final score of the game was 2-2.
