The co-recreation volleyball had eight teams competing averaging six to eight players per team. They met every Tuesday night starting at 8 p.m. with two courts in use.
Some of the teams have played together for many years while others just formed this year.
The women’s league started competition last week, Nov. 10. There are 14 teams registered with about 100 players total.
The men’s league has eight teams registered which started Nov. 18.
Heidi Riley said she enjoyed competing on the coed league as it gave her an opportunity to get out of the house and be with other adults. “It’s fun working together as a team. I really enjoy the sport,” she said. She played the sport in middle school and as a ninth grader.
