Lang helps SDSU to NCC title

Clayton Lang helped the men's cross country team at South Dakota State University win their fourth consecutive North Central Conference title on Saturday.

Lang, the son of Bev and Kevin Lang of Paynesville, covered the 8,000-meter course at the Rose Creek Golf Course in Fargo, N.D., in 25:26, finishing 11th overall. The junior was the fourth runner for the Jackrabbits, who had runners finish first, second, ninth, 11th, and 17th.

SDSU had a team score of 40, beating Minnesota State-Mankato and North Dakota State who tied for second at 54.

The Jackrabbits have won 29 NCC titles and six national titles. They will host their only home meet of the season on Saturday.
