Roscoe shuts out Richmond for first league win

By Michael Jacobson

The Roscoe Rangers won their first game in the Stearns County League on Sunday, shutting out rival Richmond 4-0 in Roscoe behind Brent Heinen's two-hit complete game.

After going scoreless in their three previous league games, the Rangers finally scored in the bottom of the third on Bret Aagesen's two-run homer. They added two more runs in the bottom of the fourth, with R.J. Leyendecker and Russ Leyendecker getting RBIs, and had nine hits in the game.

Brent Heinen pitching Heinen, who lost in the ninth inning two weeks ago when Elrosa scored a run in the bottom of the ninth to break a scoreless tie, didn't need anymore runs, holding the Royals scoreless in the victory.
