Little girl Sheri Wegner, professional photographer and owner of Sheri's Studio, won numerous ribbons and awards at the Northern Lights State, Regional and National Professional Photographers seminar and convention.

The convention was held March 25 to 29 and included entries from professional photographers from five states and Canada.

Sheri entered three pictures in the competition. The three entries were "Amelia," a photo of a small child, scoring an 83 and receiving a blue ribbon and a red ribbon, gold award, and acceptance into the loan collection.

"Ready Let's Go," a photo of a Black Lab with a gun, received a blue, red ribbon and the gold award, and acceptance into the loan collection.

"Dreaming of the Hunt," is a photo of a Golden Lab. It received a yellow ribbon and the gold award.

Wegner received word that "Amelia" and "Ready Let's Go" will be printed in a loan collection book. The loan collection consists of the photos receiving scores of 80 or higher. The collection travels to different exhibits throughout the year.

All three portraits received merit credits towards Sheri's Master of Photography degree and other state accredited degrees.
