LeVern was born on May 23, 1940, in Paynesville to Christian & Veronica (Flint) Kotschevar.

He married Delores Luedtke on Nov. 26, 1966, in St. Cloud.

Shorty was an electrician at DeZurik Corp. in Sartell, retiring in 2003. He served his country in the U.S. Army.

Shorty liked to hunt with the boys, fish, and spend his free time at his cabin. Survivors include his sons, Dr. Warren Luedtke of St. Cloud, Mark (Lisa) Luedtke of Upsala, and David (Teri) Luedtke of Watkins; mother, Veronica Kotschevar of Belgrade; sister, Eileen Lieser of Belgrade; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father; wife; daughter, Pamela; and one granddaughter.
