The Paynesville Bulldogs had a full week of practice to prepare them for last weekís games.

To start the week, on Monday, Sept. 21, the Lady Bulldogs hosted the Kimball Cubs. The hitting for the Bulldogs was pretty consistent for this game. Janel Meyer led the team with six aces and Laura Mages was close behind with five. Their serving was also consistent. The most serves that were missed were two.

In the first game, the Bulldogs breezed right through with a victory of 15-2. But, the second and third matches were close.

The Bulldogs played St. Cloud at home on Sept. 22. They knew they were in for a good match.

There was a lot of hitting throughout the game and because of that there were a lot of ace hits. Lieser led the team in aces with 20 and behind her for help was Meyer with six.

There was a lot more tipping this game. Meyer led with two ace tips. The competition was great, so the Bulldogs played four games. The first and second game they lost by six points, but in the third game they came back with a great victory of 17-15. Again the last game was a close one, with St. Cloud barely getting by with a score of 13-15.
