Richmond places second in State Class C Baseball

The Richmond Royals finished second place in the state Class C amateur baseball tournament over the holiday weekend.

The Richmond Royals lost 5-4 to the Glencoe Brewers in the cham-pionship game before a standing room only crowd at Hamburg Baseball Park.

Lake Henry draftee Ryan Wuertz was named to the all-tournament team.

Richmond ended the season with a 27-9 record.

The Royals were the first Stearns County League team to advance to the final round in the leagueís 60-year history.
