Cross country teams doing well

This article submitted by Erin Aagesen & Ryan Flanders on 9/15/98.

Girls
The Paynesville cross country team traveled to Brooten on Sept. 10 for their second meet of the season. The girls showed improvement by placing second out of eleven teams, and received a trophy for their efforts.

The girls were very pleased with the results, because they defeated some very competitive teams, including 1997’s state champions, NLS, and the West Central Conference North’s 1997 champions Sauk Centre.

Jen Hess received a medal for her seventh place finish. Erin Aagesen placed 18th, and Camille Flanders placed 20th.

Carin Frenchick came in 25th, with Tiff Rausch close behind in 28th place. The next Bulldog runner was Mesa Frenchick, who placed 37th, with Lynn Stoneburner following in 54th.
