Regal started the scoring in the first inning. With one out Mike Tangen singled, stole second and scored on a two out RBI single by Jeff Deming.
The Kilowatts tied the score in the fifth inning with a lead off walk, a wild pitch, a sacrifice bunt and a sacrifice fly.
Regal retook the lead in the sixth inning on a double by Deming, a sacrifice by Ron Fuchs and a sacrifice fly by Randy Beier.
Regal made the score 3-1 in the seventh inning on a lead off double by Dave Zaeska and an infield error.
In the bottom of the eighth inning Granite Falls made the score 3-2 with a lead off walk. The runner moved to second on a slow roller where the only play was an out at first. The runner moved to third on a fielderís choice to second and scored on a passed ball.
In the ninth inning Granite Falls led off with a single, their first hit of the game. The next batter struck out on a pitch in the dirt that got away from the catcher and the runner went to second. On the throw to get the runner at second, the ball went into center field with the runner advancing to third. With only one out Regal brought in Tim Haines to try to save the game. Haines struck out the first batter for the second out. The next batter hit a deep fly to right and the fielder could not hang onto the ball allowing the tying run to score and putting the winning run at second. The next batter hit a single by the diving first and second basemen into right field. The right fielder scooped up the ball and fired a strike to home plate. The runner was still fifteen feet from the plate when the ball arrived and barreled into the catcher dislodging the ball and scoring the winning run.

Regal ended their Ď98 season with a 4-2 loss to Granite Falls in the second game of the three game series.
Granite Falls took a 1-0 lead in the second inning with a walk, a stolen base, a single and a ground out in the infield.
The Kilowatts made the score 2-0 in the sixth inning on two singles, a walk and a passed ball.
In the seventh inning Granite Falls scored twice on a two run home run to right field.
Regal scored once in the seventh inning on a single by Jeff Deming. Walks to Ron Fuchs and Mike Tangen loaded the bases and, with one out, Dave Kemen had a sacrifice fly scoring Deming.
In the eighth inning, Regal looked like they were mounting a big rally when Mike Beier, Tim Haines and Deming all singled with one out. Beier, scoring on Demingís hit, made the score 4-2 with no outs. Granite brought in Jeff Asche to relieve Trevor Schulte and retired the next two players.
Regal hit the ball hard a few times but right at a fielder. Regal had only four hits in the game.
Tim Haines started for Regal and took the loss, and was relieved by Ron Fuchs in the seventh.
