Little Crow Ski Team wins national title

The Little Crow Ski Team won their second national title on Sunday, in Hamilton, Ohio.

They won the title with a margin of 60 points. They scored 2,170 points at the contest. The team took first place for technical aspects, including personnel, announcing, towboat driving, and docking equipment. Wonder Lake, Ill., finished second, scoring 2,101 points.

Overall, the team had the top individual act. They also won first place for jumping and ballet.

The Little Crow Ski Team won their first title in Ď94 and has never finished below fifth since then. They also have won seven straight state titles.

The Paynesville members of the team are Jay and Jessica Vagle and Holli Whitcomb.

Whitcomb is part of the ballet line, pictured above, that won first place. Jay Vagle is one of the directors of the team.

The team will return home for a performance on Friday night at 7 p.m., at Neer Park in New London.
