Two PHS baseball players go to All Conference

The Bulldogs officialy wrapped up their season, with the passing out of their awards.

David Hemmesch and Brent Heinen received All Conference honors, with Dustin Looman, Bret Aagesen, and Ben Bork all getting All Conference Honorable Mentions.

Looman tied the team record for home runs with four. Chris Soine also had three during the season for Paynesville.

ďThanks to the Seniors for their dedication and leadership,Ē said coach Brad Skoglund.

The seniors on the team are David Hemmesch, Bret Aagesen, Josh Erickson, Chris Soine, Chris VanderBeek, and the manager Kent Kulzer.

Skoglund thought the biggest highlight of the season was when Paynesville defeated Sauk Centre under the lights in Paynesville, 1-0. In that game VanderBeek and Heinen combined to throw a one hit shutout.

The Bulldogs will have eight letter winners returning next season. They are: Brent Heinen, Ben Bork, Chris Loesch, Chad Fleischhacker, Tyler Wuertz, Dustin Looman, Jon Lieser, and Jesse Lieser.

ďLooking for a good season for next year,Ē said Skoglund.
