Girls golf hosts tourney at Koronis Hills

On Saturday, May 2, the Lady Bulldogs charged ahead to meet three experienced conference opponents at the Koronis Invitational Tournament at the Koronis Hills Golf Course in Paynesville.

This was an 18-hole tournament, first of the year for the Bulldogs. Threatening morning weather gave way to sunshine and perfect conditions. It was a beautiful day for playing the game of golf.

The Bulldogs finished second to Litchfield, scoring a team total 401.

Sauk Centre
On April 28, the Paynesville Bulldogs snapped back into the WCC circuit with a conference meet at the Sauk Centre Golf Course, home of the Mainstreeters. The team looked forward to its third conference meet of the season.

At Sauk Centre, the Bulldogs struggled to a fourth place finish, with 201.

At Albany on April 30, the Bulldogs faced a tough test. They were playing the best team in the West Central Conference at their home course - Albany.

Led by juniors Mackenzie Merrill, 47; and Mary Frandson, 48; the Bulldogs moved up to finish third.
