What a wild week for the softball team. On Monday night, May 18, the Bulldogs began the first round of the sub section tournament against Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City. The game began under cloudy skies and continued until the bottom of the first inning, when there was almost an hour rain, lightning, and wind delay.

Once it was determined the weather was safe to resume play, the game continued for another inning. Then the thunder and lightning returned and the game was postponed until Tuesday, May 19, after school. The game was continued from where it left off on Monday.

Julie Sixta and Michele Lahr both pitched great games, walking a total of three ACGC players. Congratulations.

The Bulldogs played a tough game against NLS, but lost 5-1. This was a considerable improvement over the loss to NLS earlier in the season.

Paynesville struggled offensively and had a few errors in the third and fifth innings that cost them a few runs.

Congratulations softball team on an excellent season. The team ended the season with a 6-13 record.
