Eight of the Paynesville Bulldog boyâs tracksters advanced to the section meet which is to be held on May 30.

The meet started out with a shattered school and sub section record of the 3200-meter relay. The team of Jean Luc Trees, Jeff Voss, Josh Jones, and Dan Johnson, ran a state qualifying time of 8:20.49. The team will have a very good chance of going to state if they accomplish this same feat at the section track meet.

In the 800-meter run, two of Paynesvilleâs runners advanced to the section meet. Johnson ran a personal best time of 1:59.85. Trees also earned third place.

Eric Rausch, an eighth grader, advanced to sections in the 400-meter dash by placing third.

Paynesville's superstars in the 3200- meter run were freshmen Clayton Lang and Adam Utsch. Lang continues to improve on his domination. Utsch also ran an excellent race, placing fourth and advancing to sections.

The section meet is to be held on Saturday, May 30, at St. Michael-Albertville.
