Softball team dominated BDRSH

Paynesville's first game of the week came on Tuesday, May 12, against BDRSH, which the Bulldogs won, 22-5.

The Bulldogs dominated the game from the start, scoring 16 runs off of ten hits in the first inning.

Jen Lindquist led the offense going 4 for 5, with five RBIs. Lindquist is leading the team with a .460 batting average. Tiff Haag was 3 for 4, with one RBI, and Carrie Hemmesch was 1 for 2 with three RBIs and three walks.

Julie Sixta pitched the whole game, giving up only one walk and striking out three.

Cathedral
On Thursday, May 14, the Bulldogs hosted St. Cloud Cathedral in a double header. Paynesville lost both games, 10-0 and 11-1. This was the Bulldogs last conference outing of the season. Their conference record is now 2-10.

Paynesville struggled offensively. They had a total of three hits in the two games. The only run, which came in the second game was when Nikki Hemmesch scored on a hit by Jen Roberg.

Michele Lahr was pitching for the Bulldogs and gave up four walks, striking out three.
