On Thursday, May 14, the Paynesville boy's track team was up against many superstars of the West Central North Conference. The team came out of the meet proving it had its own stars as well as placing fourth against tough competition.

Six Paynesville track and field athletes earned all conference honors in seven events at the meet.

Placing second in the conference in the 300-meter hurdles was Jeff Voss. Dan Johnson won the 800 this year. Freshman Clayton Lang placed second in the 3200-meter run to earn a conference medal. Paynesville won the 4 by 400-meter relay. Josh Jones won the triple jump and placed second in the long jump. All together, he earned four conference medals at the meet.

The Bulldogs compete in sub sections tomorrow, May 21, at New London-Spicer. There is a good chance that many of our athletes will advance to the section meet.
