PHS baseball team loses tough one to Albany

Paynesville lost to Albany 14-8, on Thursday night in Paynesville.

Brent Heinen started pitching for the Bulldogs and Tyler Wuertz came in relief for Heinen.

Paynesville hit two home runs in the game. Chris Soine, who has really been hitting well lately, and Brent Heinen.

The Bulldogs were beating Albany, the seventh ranked team in state, 8-7, with one out in the sixth, when Albany started a comeback.

Sam Rothstein led the Huskies, hitting 2 home runs in the game. Ryan Nett also hit one home run.

With one out in the top of the sixth, Rothstein hit his second home run of the game tieing the score at eight.

ďI was disappointed by the way we got beat, Ē said coach Brad Skoglund, ďup by one with only five outs left against the number seven ranked team in state, and the guys didnít look like they had any emotion.Ē
