Girls track team wins again!

Again, the Paynesville girls track team won a meet. The meet was held in Benson with a total of eight teams competing.

Dawson-Boyd - 3

For the 800-meter relay team received a third place with a time of 2:00. The 400-meter relay had a time of 55.2.

Rausch is doing an excellent job by pushing herself and scoring a lot of points for the team. She received first place in the 400 with a time of 1:00.8 and another first place in the 200 with a time of 26.84, which is her new personal best.

Hess is still undefeated in all of her races. She earned first place in the 800 and in the 3200-meter runs. Speaking of the 3200-meter run, Paula Leyendecker and Jana Zumwalde, both ran excellent races. They both earned their personal best times.

In the high jump, Benson, Michaelis and McCool earned first, second and third places respectively and gave the team a total of 24 points.

Benson also jumped her personal best in the triple jump with a jump of 31'11". Another field event the girls did well in was the discus. Teresa Rodriquez threw a 106' and received her personal best.

“I was really pleased by the girl’s courage shown in this meet. The team competes with a lot of pride and the results have shown,” said coach Randgaard after the meet.
