Boys golf scores improving with each meet

On Monday, May 4, the Bulldogs traveled to Long Prairie for a meet. The course was in good enough shape, but the difficulty of it, mixed with the high winds, didnít help the outcome of the meet.

The boys were hoping to improve their standings, but were unable to do so. Leading the Bulldogs with an excellent score was Ryan Mackedanz with a 40. Next was James Gulbranson with a 47. Also aiding in the total were Ryan Stoneburner and freshman Joey Koshiol, both shooting 49s. The Bulldogs final score was a 187.

Albany once again took the meet with a total score of 162. They were followed closely by Litchfield with 163 points.

Medalist of the meet was Nate Kruger, Litchfield, shooting a low score of 37.

Melrose meet

On Tuesday, May 5, the Bulldogs went to Melrose for a conference meet. Weather conditions were much improved from the day before. The sun was shining and the course was in great shape.

Although the boys were unable to improve their standings in the conference, they did play much better, and scores improved a great deal..

Ryan Stoneburner and Ryan Mackedanz both had good rounds, shooting 44s. James Gulbranson shot a 47, and Nathan Glenz, in his first scoring meet, shot a 47. This gave the Bulldogs a total score of 181.

Albany once again had an outstanding meet. All four of the counting scores were in the thirties. A 36, and three 38s, giving them a low total of 150. They were followed by Litchfield, whose total score was a 161.

Receiving the honor of medalist was Scott Welle of Albany, shooting a 36.
