The 3200-meter relay team started off the meet by getting first in that event. Carin Frenchick had the fastest split with a time of 2:36. The other members are Cyndi Bollman, Leanne Kolb and Paula Leyendecker.
The 800-meter relay team was really close to breaking the school record with a time of 1:54.45. The fastest split was held by Gina Benson with a time of 28. 0. The other members of the relay team are Courtney Karsch, Mandi McCool and Heidi Jansen.
Eighth grader Jenny Hess broke another eighth grade record in the mile run with a time of 5:30. Along with the mile, comes the two mile. Erin Aagesen ran an outstanding race in the two mile with a time of 12.45.
The field events gave the team 61 points. In the running events alone, the team scored 92 points.
The pole vault has become a very strong event for the girls under the coaching of Kyle Nehowig.
“The girls dominated the meet, winning 17 out of 18 events plus an average of three places per event. The performances showed outstanding team balance of excellent depth which will really help us through the season,” said coach Dave Randgaard. This was a fun meet for the girls, coaches and the fans. It gave the team a great start to the outdoor season.
