The PNLS Trail Blazers are skating strong this year and to date remain undefeated. They played on their own ice Jan. 25-26, beating both Waseca and Shakopee...5-0 and 7-0, respectively.

"Their passes looked really sharp today, really good. They moved the puck well," said Coach Brad McCool of the girls' game with Shakopee.

As for the game with Waseca, McCool said there wasn't a lot of pressure on the PNLS girls. They skated real well in that game and came out ahead 4-0.

McCool said he did see a big improvement in Waseca's game. "They had two good skaters and they held Paula in check really well. They're going to be tough next year." Paula Vogt scored all four goals in the Waseca game.

Sharon Mackedanz, team manager, said the girls are really playing well, and especially in the Waseca game. "They came out skating hard. They were determined to win and they did." Mackedanz said Shari Vogt stopped 17 shots on goal and PNLS had 21 shots on goal.

Team members are proud of their accomplishments this year. They're working hard at practice and playing together smoothly.
