The Bulldogs were led by Ross Jenniges with 11 points. Joe Bergstrom also scored eight for Paynesville.
In their first meeting, the Bulldogs lost 41-39, with both teams exchanging cold halves. In that game, Paynesville only scored two points in the first quarter, and seven in the entire first half.
In the second meeting, Joe Raiche started things off with a bang by slam-dunking the first two Cathedral points on a fast break.
The Bulldogs did get things going though, with Jenniges scoring four in the first for the Bulldogs. At the end of the first quarter the score was 16-8, Crusaders.
In the second quarter, Paynesville picked things up a bit by scoring 17 points, of which Jenniges scored seven. The score at the half was 29-25, Cathedral.
Both teams had low scoring third quarters. Cathedral scored nine, while Paynesville scored seven.
In the fourth, the Bulldogs could not turn the corner. Again, they scored only seven as Cathedral scored 20.

The Bulldogs lost to Albany, 55-44 on Friday night in Albany.
Paynesville was led by Joe Bergstrom with eight points. Ross Jenniges and Ken Leo both helped out with six. However, Paynesville didn't have a single player in double digits.
In the first meeting between the two teams, the Bulldogs lost 65-61 in Paynesville. In that game, the Bulldogs stayed close by playing strong defense and moving the ball around well on offense.
The Bulldogs were led by Josh Jones and Jenniges, each scoring two for the Bulldogs. At the end of the first quarter, the Huskies led 10-5.
Williams and Leo led Paynesville's scoring in the second, each scoring three as the Bulldogs found themselves down 29-18 at the end of the half.
In the third, Albany extended their lead to 17.
Paynesville started to turn the game around in the fourth, scoring 17 in that period. Eric Glenz scored four to help the Bulldogs pull within 11, but they still lost 55-44.
The Bulldogs have dropped to 4-15 on the season.
