On Monday, Feb. 9, the Lady Bulldogs hosted the Albany Huskies in what will probably be the Bulldogs best game this year. The Bulldogs played a terrific game and lost by only one point to the state-rated Huskies, 37-36.

At the end of the first quarter, the score was tied at 5-5.

During the second quarter, the Bulldogs made a number of unforced turnovers which the Huskies capitalized on. The Bulldogs were out-scored 14-8 and went into halftime with a 19-14 deficit.

The Bulldogs really began to shine in the second half. The girls held the Huskies to just three points and took a 25-22 lead.

The lead bounced back and forth during the fourth quarter. With 25 seconds left on the clock, the Huskies tied the game at 35 points apiece.

With three seconds left, Albanyís Beth Nowachek was fouled. She gave the Huskies the lead by putting away both of her free throws.

A half court shot attempt by the Bulldogs failed, as the Huskies sneaked by with a 37-36 victory.

Tanya Lieser recorded another double-double for the Bulldogs as she knocked in 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
