Girls basketball: Lose two games this week

The Lady Bulldogs played two games last week, and were unable to come out on top in either of them.

On Monday, Jan. 19, the Bulldogs traveled to New London to face the reigning state champs, the New London-Spicer Wildcats. The Bulldogs were defeated 77-22.

The Bulldogs were led by Tanya Lieser and Kristi Lieser. Tanya grabbed eight rebounds and blocked six shots, while Kristi netted six points.

Long Prairie-Grey Eagle

On Thursday, Jan. 22, the Bulldogs played host to Long Prairie-Grey Eagle (LPGE), and once again, the Bulldogs were defeated, 55-44.

Even with the excitement in the air, and the support of the pep band and fans, the Bulldogs could not manage to start strongly.

Amber Michaelis had 13 points and five rebounds for the team and Tiff Rausch ripped down five rebounds of her own.
