Tangen, a 5'7" outside hitter, led this year’s team with 237 kills and 546 digs (6.2 per game). She also served 95 percent. Tangen was named to the Northern Division First Team, and to the All-Tournament Team at the MCCC State Tourney and made Second Team All-State.
Reflecting on the season, RRCC coach Mel Millerbernd states, “Steph is a very intense, competitive athlete. Her hustle, determination, and versatility were all major factors in our team’s success this season. I’m looking for great things from her next year. She’s a good one, we’re glad she chose RRCC.”
The daughter of Don and Leanne Tangen, Paynesville, Tangen is a freshman at the Rainy River Community College, International Falls.
