The Paynesville Bulldog boyís basketball team traveled to St.Cloud Cathedral to take on the Crusaders in their third conference game of the season.

Just in the first few minutes you could tell the Bulldogs were playing as a team. The offense was patient and moved the ball around well. It paid off with five different members of the team scoring in the first quarter.

The second half proved to be just like the first with the Bulldogs dominating on both sides of the floor.

The main reason for all of the fast breaking the Bulldogs did was the return of senior point guard Joe Bergstrom.

The Paynesville Bulldogs boyís basketball team played their first game since the holiday tournament in mid December by defeating Montevideo 67-55 on Tuesday, Jan. 6.

There was a lot of scoring on offense but a lack of defense on both ends of the court.

By the beginning of the second quarter, Paynesville looked to be in control of the game, allowing only five points.

The Bulldogs mistakes in the third period let Montevideo back into the game. At the end of the third quarter the Bulldogs only led by five points.

The fourth quarter was filled with scoring by both teams, thus making it a very exciting quarter to watch.
