Boys cross country wraps up successful season

The Bulldogís cross country team wrapped up their season with a banquet on Sunday, Nov. 22. The coaches said a few words and handed out awards.

Coach Rick Houske summed up the season by saying, ďWe had a successful season even though we didnít go as far in the post season as we had originally hoped to.Ē

The MVP award went to Adam Utsch who kept the team strong through its injuries.

Clayton Lang won the mileage award, putting in more than 450 miles over the course of the summer before he was injured. Lang was given the Bulldog Pride award for attending every single practice. Even though earlier in the season he couldnít participate due to an injury, he still had the dedication to make every practice.

The most improved award went to Ryan Flanders.

Letter winners were: Ryan Flanders, Travis Flanders, Steven Gilk, Eric Korman, Clayton Lang, Eric Rausch, Troy Schmidt, Luc Trees, and Adam Utsch.

Coach Darrel Carstens mentioned how the team would not be losing any seniors which would make for an even stronger team next year.

The Bulldogs are coming back in style!
