Sauk Centre shuts down Bulldogs offense

The Paynesville Bulldogs hosted Sauk Centre for the Bulldogsí homecoming on Friday, Oct. 2. Paynesville has had a tradition of breaking Sauk Centre on their homecoming, so the Bulldogs knew that Sauk was ready to strike.

Throughout the game, Sauk Centre Mainstreeters dominated Paynesville in total offense, with 274 yards rushing and 117 yards passing to Paynesvilleís 72 yards rushing and 10 yards passing.

Paynesvilleís leading tacklers in the game were Dustin Looman with seven solo tackles and eight assists, and Steve Flint with four solo tackles and six assists.

With this being Paynesvilleís fourth loss of the season, Paynesville has three more games to prove themselves before playoffs. Paynesville will host Morris on Friday, Oct. 9, at 7:30 p.m.
