Boys cross country team takes 5th at home meet

On Monday, Sept. 28 the boys cross country team took third out of seven teams at Albany. Most of the team did not run as well as usual, but they bounced back at the Paynesville Invite.

Koronis Invitational
On Thursday, Oct. 1, the boys took fifth out of 14 teams at the Paynesville Invite. Leading the team was Adam Utsch, who placed fourth in a time of 18:09.

Adam has been steadily improving throughout the season, but unfortunately fractured his toe in practice on Friday, Oct. 2. He will have to sit out a couple of weeks, but may be back by the conference meet on Oct. 13.

Luc Trees was the second Paynesville runner, placing 16th with a time of 18:46. Close behind Luc was Clayton Lang, who is making an excellent come back after having to sit several weeks out due to a foot injury. He placed 23rd with a time of 19:02.

Eric Rausch placed 40th with a time of 19:40. Behind him were Travis Flanders and Eric Korman, placing 44th and 45th, with times of 19:49 and 19:51, respectively.

The last runner for Paynesville was Steve Gilk who ran 20:44 and placed 60th.
