The Paynesville varsity volleyball team is on a roll. They had two good wins last week, Maple Lake, 3-0, and ACGC, 3-2.

With a short week of school, the girls had two games early in the week. On Monday, Oct. 12, they traveled to Maple Lake for a nonconference game. Before the game started, the Bulldogs shuffled some things around. They won all three.

There were a lot of hits in this game. Janel Meyer and Tanya Lieser, pictured right, both led the team with nine aces each, of which all were assisted by Steph Krupke. There was an absence of Mackenzie Merrill due to injury, but Krupke did well to help the team.

The Bulldogs upped their record to 9-8 after another victory, this time defeating the ACGC Falcons 3-2.
There was tough competition out on the
court and the girls ended up playing five games. It was a rollercoaster match thatís for sure.

The Bulldogs were constant all night when it came to stats. Their digging and serving was almost always 100 percent. Lieser again led the team in ace hits with 13 and she also recorded eight ace serves. Again, with Merrillís injury, Krupke had to step it up and she did another great job. The team hopes to have Merrill back real soon. As you can tell the Bulldogs went on with another victory.
