On Oct. 6, the girls cross country team traveled to Sauk Centre. They came back with a 6th place finish. Although there were four state-ranked teams there, the girls still felt that some improvement should happen.

Jen Hess ran near the front of a talented field of runners. She took home a fifth place medal, and also achieved a new personal best time of 15:29. On scoring, she commented, ìSometimes the comments of my rivals keep me going.î

Next to sprint to the finish line was Camille Flanders. She has been having a fantastic season this year, and proved this by her 26th place finish. Behind her, in 30th, was Erin Aagesen.

Danielle Lieser came in 38th. ìI liked the course,î she said. ìIt was nice that it stopped raining for our race.î

The fifth and sixth Bulldog runners were Carin Frenchick (47) and Tiffany Rausch (49). Rausch enjoyed the scenery of the race, especially the rainbow that appeared over all of the trees and the lake by which they ran.

Mesa Frenchick came in after Rausch, and completed the Bulldog team by placing 56th.
