Eleven girls made the C-squad team. They are: Gretchen Fenske, Nicole Flint, Amanda Glenz, RaeAnn Knisley, Jessica Paul, Tricia Salzl, Nicole Schlangen, Alisa Schmidt, Laura Stoneburner, Jenny Terres, and Peggy Thompson.

There are nine girls on the junior varsity team. They include: Melissa Bachman, Laurie Barten, Hannah Braun, Ashley Mackedanz, Morgan Martinson, Amanda Mayer, Mindy Meagher, Amy Roberg, and Heather Roos.

The varsity team consists of eleven girls. They are: seniors Joy Hemmesch, Steph Krupke, Jenni Mayer, Katrina Orbeck, Katie Wright, and Jana Zumwalde, and juniors Jenny Habben, Lisa Hemingson, Heidi Jansen, Sara Lieser (spikes the ball during a drill), and Ashley Wall.

Captains of the varsity team are seniors Steph Krupke and Joy Hemmesch. Captains of the other two teams are not decided yet.

When asked about their thoughts on the upcoming season the two captains said, "We are looking forward to this season. Everyone is going to work hard, and we hope to win a lot of games. No matter what,we'll have fun!"

Some of the goals for the squads are to have fun and work as a team and serve 90 percent or better.

The varsity team is also hoping to have a record of .500 or above again and to beat Sauk Centre, the conference favorite and a state power. Last year, the Bulldogs were 5-7 in the West Central Conference North and 8-8 overall. They earned the second seed in the subsection before losing to Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City in the semifinals of the subsection tournament.

The first volleyball game of the season is a rematch against ACGC tomorrow. The action takes place at the high school in Grove City with the C-squad and the junior varsity starting at 6 p.m. The team hopes to see many fans in the stands.
