Cross country about to start

The Paynesville Bulldogs cross country teams - including the defending boys' Class A championship squad - will begin practice on Monday, Aug. 13, at 6:30 p.m. on the high school track. All athletes, male and female, grades 7-12, should plan on attending.

The Dogs are coming off a state championship season, with the boys' team winning the Class A title as well as the individual girls' title in Class A by Jenny Hess. The team needs new runners to compete on the junior high, junior varsity, and varsity level, according to coach Darrel Carstens.

All athletes should take care of the fees, physicals, and eligibility forms before the first practice. Any questions about cross country can be directed to Coach Carstens by calling him at 320-243-4648.
