Fall athletics to start in August

Fall athletics will be starting for high schoolers in August.

Varsity cross country, football, and volleyball practices will start on Monday, Aug. 14. The first football practice (for grades 10-12) begins at 8 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 14, at the high school; the first volleyball practice (for grades 9-12) starts at 8 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 14, at the high school; and the first cross country practice (grades 7-12) begins at 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 14, on the high school track.

Football practice for ninth graders begins on Wednesday, Aug. 16, at 8 a.m. in the high school lockerroom.

For seventh and eighth graders, football practice starts on Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 3:20 p.m. in the middle school lockerroom, and volleyball practice starts on Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 3:30 p.m. in the elementary school gym.

Athletes should remember to have an MSHSL eligibility form completed along with a physical on file at the school (dated within the last three years) before the first day of practice. These forms are available at the high school office.

Fees for athletics are $55 per sport for grades 7-8 and $75 per sport for grades 9-12 with a family maximum of $400.
