St. Martin 11

Roscoe defeated St. Martin by a final of 12-11 on Wednesday night, in Roscoe. Mike Leither started on the mound for Roscoe and was relieved by Drew Nathan and Jeremy Leyendecker.

Nathan led the way for Roscoe in hitting as he was 2-4. Others getting hits for Roscoe were Leyendecker, Leither, Justin Schlangen, and Kory Kierstead.

St. Martin scored two in the top of the first to take a quick lead.

Roscoe came back in the bottom of the second by scoring five to take a three-run lead.

Both teams would add one to their totals in the third inning to make the score 6-3, Roscoe.

After Roscoe added one more in the bottom of the fourth, St. Martin answered by scoring four runs to tie the game at seven.

St. Martin then scored four more in the top of the sixth to make the score 11-7, St. Martin.

Roscoe had to battle back, and they did. They responded by scoring three runs in the bottom of the sixth to narrow the St. Martin lead to one.

After holding St. Martin scoreless in the top of the seventh Roscoe came out and won the game in the bottom of the inning, by scoring two runs.

This is Roscoe's second win of the season as they go to 2-5.

Elrosa defeated Roscoe 11-6 on Sunday night, in Roscoe.

Drew Nathan started for the Rangers and went five innings. He was relieved by Ben Moser.

Jeremy Leyendecker led the way for Roscoe at the plate as he was 3-3. No other Roscoe player had more than one hit.

The teams went back and forth in the early innings of the game. Elrosa scored two in the top of the first, then Roscoe came back with three in the bottom of the inning, only to see Elrosa add two more and take a 4-3 lead.

After Elrosa added one more in the top of the third Roscoe came back to tie the game at five by scoring two in the bottom of the third.

Elrosa put the game away in the fourth though, when they scored four runs. That made the score 9-5, and Elrosa did not look back as they added two late runs to make the game final 11-6.

This loss dropped Roscoe to 2-6.
