By Michael Jacobson

Amanda Glenz, a 2004 PAHS graduate, will play in a girlsŐ basketball all star game at the Target Center in Minneapolis this weekend.

Selected players will be drafted onto teams on Friday night. Games will be held at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday at the Target Center, home of the Minnesota Timberwolves, and at 11:30 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. on Sunday.

All stars will be announced during the Minnesota Lynx game on Sunday afternoon, starting at 5 p.m.

Glenz, the daughter of Brad and Debbie Glenz of Paynesville, averaged 19.5 points per game and nine rebounds per game this winter as the Bulldogs girlsŐ basketball team went 15-8 and took second in the West Central Conference North.

A two-time All Conference pick, Glenz finished her career with 1,055 points, third all-time among Paynesville girls. She is believed to be the first PAHS player to participate in this statewide all star game.
