Legion Baseball is in full swing

Paynesville 3

Paynesville defeated Litchfield 3-1 in their opening game of the Legion baseball season.

Justin Mackedanz started on the mound and went the distance. Mackedanz pitched outstanding allowing only one run in the game.

Shaun Fleischhacker led Paynesville going 1-2 with a run scored. Ben Bork also had a good game going 1-3 with one run, and Bork made a spectacular catch in centerfield to rob Eric Rambow of Litchfield of a double.

Paynesville scored all their runs in the third inning to take the 3-1 victory.

Paynesville played excellant defense; they didn't make an error in the game.

Regal 16
Roscoe 5

Regal easily defeated Roscoe 16-5, in Roscoe on Tuesday June 8.

Todd Leyendecker started and Robert Leyendecker threw relief in the game for Roscoe.

Tyler Wuertz started for Regal and was relieved by Chris Rohe.

Todd Leyendecker led Rosoce in hitting going 2-3 with a double.

Rohe led Regal going 3-5 with a home run in the game. Tyler Wuertz also had a great game as he went 2-4 with a three-run home run and a double.

Regal was only kept scoreless in the second and seventh innings.

Roscoe struggled playing defense as they committed 11 errors in the game.

Roscoe scored one run in the fourth and four in the seventh, but it wasn't nearly enough as Regal won easily 16-5.

Lake Henry 13

Rosoce lost to Lake Henry 13-5, on Thursday night, in Lake Henry.

Eric Kunstleben started for Rosce and was relieved by Robert Leyendecker.

Jesse Lieser started for Lake Henry and went three innings. Doug Fuchs finished the game in relief of Lieser.

Keith Winter, Brent Heinen, and Todd Leyendecker all had two hits for Roscoe.

Adam Miller led the way for Lake Henry as he went 2-4 with two home runs in the game.

Josh Kampsen and Lieser each had two hits for Lake Henry.

Both teams scored early as Roscoe scored five runs in the first two innings, but Lake Henry scored six.

Lake Henry didn't have an inning where they were kept scoreless and shut out Roscoe after the second inning, they cruised to a 13-5 victory.
