Dogs reach subsection championship

By Michael Jacobson

The Bulldogs baseball team swept two conference games last week to finish tied for second in the West Central Conference North.

The Bulldogs baseball team, seeded #1, defeated #5 Maple Lake 5-3 on Tuesday and advanced to the Subsection 20 final. The Bulldogs will play for the subsection title on Thursday, May 29, starting at 7:30 p.m. in Maple Lake against ACGC.

Both teams will advance to the section tournament, which starts next week. (See schedule below.) The subsection champion will enter the double-elimination section playoffs without a loss while the runner--up will have one loss.

Last year, the Bulldogs baseball team won the Subsection 20 title and advanced to state for the first time in school history, taking fifth place in Class AA.
