Girls finish seventh in 18-hole tourney

The Bulldogs girls' golf team placed seventh in the eight-team, 18-hole Sauk Centre Invite on Tuesday, May 10.

Sauk Centre won the meet with a total of 379, edging Minnewaska by three strokes in the nonconference tournament.

Junior Amber Jensen shot 95, and sophomore Marissa Mackedanz shot 99 to lead the Dogs. Sophomore Cassandra Olmscheid shot 116, and ninth grader Natasha Fangmeier shot 143 to complete the Dogs' team score.

The girls were scheduled to golf at Litchfield last week on Thursday, but that meet was postponed until Monday, May 23.

This week, the Dogs will play at Annandale on Friday. Next week, they will start their playoffs with the subsection meet at the Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker on Tuesday, May 24, starting at 8 a.m.
