Lisa Hemingson The Bulldogs softball team lost 9-1 to Litchfield on Thursday, after giving up eight runs in the first two innings of the game.

Paynesville committed three fatal errors compared to Litchfield's perfect game with no errors.

The Dragons scored four runs in the first inning, as well as four in the second inning to take an early 8-0 lead.

After the second inning, the Bulldogs held the Dragons to only one more run in the game.

Senior Laurie Barten, senior Lisa Hemingson, senior Heather Roos, senior Amy Buermann, and junior Ann Stalboerger all supplied hits for the Bulldogs.

Hemingson scored the lone run for Paynesville in the fourth, driven home by Stalboerger.

"Right now we just need to keep our heads up. We have one week left to put it all together and get ready for the playoffs," said Hemingson, a co-captain.
